Your mission is to deign an object that will help protect a ceratin feature within our park, located on the beach front of our local community. On the last page we gained a knowledge and understanding of what the features are in our park. It is now our job to become scientists and investiagte different materials that would be suitable to project that feature and also the phyiscal changes we could make to thise materials to make them suit our purpose.

Investigations

Engage in an investigation where you will make physical changes to different materials. Record your finidings and chnages in your scrapbooks.

You will now conduct your investigations. Use these investigations to inform your choices of materials for your protection object and how you are going to design your object.

Design for investigation

After each investigation, draw a design that would help that change

for example, you may like to design a boat when investigating wetting. Consider what material would be suitable for the job and don't forget to label your drawing!
